Dorothy Yuan just shot this wonderful photo of the forest here. We should all get a chance to see the full photo. The cropped version is very nice, but I feel like a beauty killer having done the cropping.
The comparison underlines the value of full perspective. The trail invites you in, while the tops of the trees alone just celebrate – not a bad thing to do.
And, what color!
For whoever whats to see the beech forest, it is accessible from the post marker #9 reachable from the path down to the forest from the hilltop garden. At post #9, turn left and after a few yards you’ll see a forest path marked by orange ribbons. Follow the path for about 50 feet and you should the Regent Forest paved trail in front. The forest lines both sides of the trail.
