Rush To the Kennedy Center To Hear Two Bagley Works at the Kennedy Center Today Saturday at Noon — Too Late, Watch the Video

Here is the information from the National Press Club press release, about works by our residents the Bagleys:

Musical excerpts from National Press Club member Anthony E. Gallo’s four librettos, “A Musical Medley,” will be performed at the Kennedy Center’s Page-to -Stage Festival at noon on Saturday Sept. 3 in the South Foyer Atrium.

The four librettos include: “Lincoln and God,” (composer John Ward) about the complicated relationship between Lincoln and his spiritual self during the Civil War; “Vanderdergrift” (composer Beatrix Whitehall), a story about the industrial revolution in America; “Peggy” (composers Margaret and Grant Bagley), about Peggy O’Neill Eaton following the Presidential Election of 1828; and “David” (Composer Margaret and Grant Bagley), the tragic story of the Ancient Jewish king.

Performers include Ben Robles, Beatrix Whitehall, Ronnie Hardcastle, Margaret Bagley, Grant Bagley and Johna Leary.
